Sunday services:
10.30 am Worship in an informal and contemporary style
For 2,000 years Christians have met together to worship Jesus Christ, their risen Lord and Saviour. Today, all over the world, and in all kinds of ways, Christians continue to do the same. We are part of a worldwide family of Methodist Christians. We aren't the only ones who are right - and we are certainly not perfect! But we do believe the essential Christian message:
- Jesus was the promised Saviour (or Messiah)
- The death of Jesus was part of God's plan
- God raised him from death
- His resurrection was witnessed and proved
- Jesus is glorified now and for ever
- All must repent and believe in him
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Acts 2:42, NIV
In the worldwide family of Methodist Christians, we are part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain, the Plymouth and Exeter District and the Torbay Methodist Circuit. Goodrington Methodist Church exists to worship God, serve the community and make and grow disciples of Jesus Christ. Situated in Torbay, the heart of the English Riviera, we can be found just off the main road between Paignton and Brixham (address and postcode below). We are an active, Bible-based Church - and we offer a warm welcome to all ages.
We have plenty of car-parking space and easy access for disabled people and for people with push-chairs. We have recently embraced the vision to make 50 new members in the next ten years. If you live locally, come and join us; if you are coming to the area on holiday, come and visit us; if you are reading our website, please pray for us. If you send us a message that you are praying for us, we will pray for you too. If you simply want to send us a prayer request, simply click on this link and we will include your request in our Sunday evening prayers.
The church building can be found on the corner of Goodrington Road and Grange Road. Postcode TQ4 7JT.
